The term "primordial tradition" refers to the concept that there is a fundamental and universal wisdom that underlies all of the world's spiritual and religious traditions. According to this idea, this primordial tradition, also known as the perennial philosophy, has existed since the beginning of human history and has been transmitted through various forms of religious and spiritual teachings, mythologies, and philosophies.

Deep time is a term used to describe the vast stretches of time in Earth's history, ranging from billions of years ago to the present day. It refers to the immense time scales involved in the evolution of the universe, our planet, and life on Earth. The concept of deep time emerged in the 18th and 19th centuries as scientists began to develop a more comprehensive understanding of the Earth's geology and the history of life on the planet. Prior to this, the prevailing view was that the Earth was only a few thousand years old.

Today, scientists use a variety of methods to study deep time, including radiometric dating, fossil analysis, and geological strata. By deploying these methods, scientists have been able to develop a detailed understanding of the Earth's history, including the formation of the planet, the development of life, and the occurrence of major geological events such as volcanic eruptions and asteroid impacts.

The concept of deep time has important implications for our understanding of the natural world and our place in it. It highlights the immense scale of the universe and the long and complex history of our planet. It also reminds us that our own existence is just a tiny blip in the vast expanse of time, and that we are part of a much larger story that has been unfolding for billions of years.

Proponents of the primordial tradition argue that despite the apparent differences between various spiritual and religious teachings, there are fundamental similarities regarding the nature of reality, the purpose of human life, and the path to spiritual realization.

This concept has been explored in various fields, including comparative religion, philosophy, and esotericism.

Technology has undoubtedly had a significant impact on the evolution of spirituality. With the rise and increasing accessibility of digital technology and the internet, people now have access to an unprecedented amount of information and resources related to spirituality and religious practice. This has allowed individuals to explore different spiritual paths and connect with others who share similar beliefs and practices, regardless of geographical boundaries. During the 1960s and 1970s, the Western United States and Canada became known as a hub for spiritual and cultural transformation. This period saw the emergence of a counterculture movement that rejected the materialism and conformity of mainstream American society, and sought new ways of living and thinking as a result of the popularity of psychedelic drugs, the influence of Eastern spirituality, greater reach of technology and the rise of environmentalism. These factors all contributed to a cultural shift towards a more spiritual and holistic worldview.

From traditional religious organizations to new age and alternative spiritual groups many of these earlier transformative groups have embraced technology as a means of spreading their message and connecting with followers. As a result many tech companies formed during this period have been exploring the intersection between technology and spirituality, such as virtual reality meditation apps, quantum interfaces and brain-sensing headbands for mindfulness practice as new discoveries and inventions are made.
